Making the World's Richest Safe in Dubai
With the coming of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) meetings, even more invasive measures have been taken. All basement parking across Sheikh Zayed Road (the main thoroughfare that runs through the financial district) has been closed, effectively shutting access for thousands of tourists and residents. All employees and visitors to the buildings along Sheikh Zayed Road are searched upon entering and leaving. The amount of uniformed and undercover security officials has multiplied on a level never seen before. Benjamin Netanyahu "Welcomed" in Dubai
Former Israeli Prime Minister, and current Minister of Finance under Ariel Sharon, Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu is set to arrive in Dubai, UAE on Tuesday evening, to attend the annual International Monetary Fund (IMF) meetings. Previously rumored to have cancelled the trip due to security reasons, Netanyahu confirmed this morning that he will be accompanying an Israeli diplomatic delegation to the meetings, being held at Dubai's World Trade Center. read the whole story
